Truly in a class of its own! This unique rosary was inspired by the one pictured in Mary, Queen of Scots' famous Sheffeld portrait. It is hand strung on beading wire and consists of alternating 12mm black onyx and gold filigree beads with onyx and gold spacer beads.
There are 10 each of these large beads suggesting this is a rosary where the Lord's Prayer and Hail Marys were recited equally. The earliest with this bead arrangement is in a museum in Huy, Belgium which dates to c. 1250-1300 AD.
It hangs from a 2" cross with an onyx stone center which is attached to a chain and hangs approximately 12" from the belt/girdle.
Shipped in a velvet pouch.
A FREE Latin prayer booklet is included with each rosary purchase.
