This paternoster has ten 16mm faceted onyx beads and an empty glass pendant that hinges open so that you can add your own "special relic" such as a scrap of fabric, lock of hair and/or a piece of paper with a name or saying on it
Our pendant, made of a silvertone metal, has a glass lid that is held shut with a magnetic. The glass oval is approx. 22X26mm with an overall pendant height of almost 2 inches (48mm).
On the other end it has a metal ring with a cord for hanging from a belt. The tenner is approx. 12" long.
Shipped in a velvet pouch.
A FREE Latin prayer booklet is included with each rosary purchase.
We ship via UPSP Priority Mail with insurance so that you can track your package on-line.
We have another version of this tenner with an adjustable finger ring and a small credo cross:
TENNER - A chaplet with ten beads, called a Tenner or in German, "Gebetskette Zehner" (prayer chain with 10 beads), was very popular in the 15th and 16th century. They usually had a saint's metal, cross, pomander or tassel hanging from the bottom. Often an eleventh larger bead was added as well.
ONYX - Onyx is a stone of inner strength, focused attention, willpower, self-mastery, discipline and reason. It is a protective stone used in battles or conflicts of all kinds. It carries courage along with the "survival of the species" energy.
