This rosary was inspired by a small wooden circle rosary housed in the Museum of London. As the original, ours contains 24 of the smaller beads (11mm) and 2 of the medium sized beads (15mm) placed on each side of the largest bead (20mm). We have strung the reproduction differently than the extant one in the museum because we didn't want the knots to be visible. We will restring it on request, so convo us if you want one strung the same as the original. (See picture)
This style was popular before the rosary was standardized in the late 16th century. It is similar to the one found in the painting, "St. Jerome in His Study" by Ghirlandaio which also had 24 beads. It has a large bead with a tassel (no medium sized beads).
